Vacuum Applications in the food processing industry are vast including packaging, deaerating, chilling, deodorizing, chucking, concentrating, freeze drying, conveying, sterilizing, evaporation, marinating, stuffers, tumblers and evisceration. In any meat processing facility (Chicken, Beef, Pork etc..), marinating is a common practice where the meat is placed into a marinating tank, marinate is added and vacuum is applied to the tank to draw the liquid into the meat. Viper Series Single Stage rotary vane vacuum pumps provide the deepest vacuum levels for full meat penetration of the marinate and their compact size allows the pump to fit underneath the marinating tank. Because the vacuum pump may see a very wet product carryover, add the Onyxx Cleanable Inlet Filter and your pump is completely protected. When marinating vacuum levels are not as critical, the Onyxx liquid ring, such as the Ox-57, can be employed successfully without any additional protection.
